The ultimate list of vintage stores in Vancouver
When I visited Vancouver a couple of years ago – the city had me at hello. The food (amazing food for a fifth of the prices compared to back home in Denmark.. do I need to say more?), the people, the culture, nature – and last but not least all the amazing vintage stores in Vancouver that you will find in all of the charming and cozy neighborhoods we strolled by.
FIND WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR
As you can hear I could probably work for the tourist office or maybe I could sell trips to Vancouver – that is how in love I am with this place. But this article isn’t a travel guide to what you should experience in the city.
Instead, it is a complete map to all the hidden vintage treasures and secret second-hand shops that you will find on the small side street and which you might not see at first glance.
So without further ado let’s jump right to the list of the ultimate best vintage stores in Vancouver.
The best neighborhoods for vintage shopping in Vancouver
Some of the places I found the best vintage store in Vancouver are added down below, but of course, there are hidden gems and secret vintage spots all over the city waiting to be revealed.
So put on your walking shoes and start browsing through all the amazing neighborhoods and unique second-hand stores in Vancouver!
My top pick second-hand stores in Vancouver
In the list i have tried to include something for everyone and every price range. I have included vintage stores in Vancouver that sells high-end luxury vintage as well as thrift store with very affordable prices. So browse through the list and get inspired!
1. Community Thrift & Vintage
If you are looking for stunning vintage clothes for a good cause Community Thrift & Vintage on the edge of Downtown Vancouver you go-to shopping spot. It is no doubt one of the best-assorted vintage stores in Vancouver and every second-hand item is just so cool and fashionable.
This is definitely one of those vintage shops you don’t want to miss if your path takes you to British Columbia’s biggest city. I will gladly vouch for this one – cause I am telling the chances of finding a unique pre-loved item in this second-hand store at an extremely reasonable price are (very) high!
And the best thing? All the profit is donated to the PHS Community Service Society. I don’t think vintage shopping can get much better than that.
2. Mine and Yours
If you are looking for a vintage store in Vancouver that sells high-end luxury vintage look no further. Located close to Downtown Vancouver Mine and Yours invites you into their designer heaven of pre-loved luxury fashion items.
On the shelves, you will find classics like Chanel, Chloe, Dior, and Gucci and it is without a doubt paradise for every vintage fashionista.
But be prepared. Even though this is a second-hand store the prices still reflect the high-end brands on the shelves. Don’t expect to find a bag her for the price of 10$ – but expect to get inspired, fall in love with beautiful items, and maybe convince yourself to finally buy the dream bag.
3. Duchesse vintage
Duchesse Vintage has it all. Unique second-hand clothes, cool vintage furniture, and preloved accessories – and everything comes at the best prices.
Every week new stuff is added to the thrift-stores selection, and you are always welcome to ask the sweet staff if they can get a specific item for you if you can’t find it on their packed shelves.
This is also one of those vintage stores in Vancouver where you can find cool and one-of-a-kind decorations and everything you find here are carefully chosen and handpicked items, that you won’t find anywhere else.
4. Hunter and Hare
This one isn’t just your regular thrift-store like the one from your hometown that sometimes smelled like a basement (and in worst case moth).
No, Hunter and Hare is one of those cute and (very) well decorated small shops that invite the visitor in. Everything here is so well displayed and the clothes are top quality, which allows you to find pieces that match your personal style – without paying a fortune.
This second-hand store is also focused on the local community and you can also find products from local and independent vendors here. Make sure to add this to your list of vintage stores in Vancouver you have to visit, I promise you will not regret it.
5. Faulkner
Faulkner is one of those vintage stores you want to visit again – and again. They have a beautiful carefully chosen selection of vintage clothes and accessories and the store is just so beautifully displayed and welcoming.
The pieces here are of high quality and aren’t exactly cheap, but keeping in mind that clothes are from luxury brands the prices are actually very reasonable and affordable.
If you rethinking visiting the shop know don’t! You shouldn’t cheat yourself for a trip to this place and the possibility of meeting the owner Frank, who might be the sweetest vintage store owner I have ever met.
Go for the great hand-picked selection of vintage clothing and the nice atmosphere.
6. Mintage Mall
Have you ever wished there was a place where all the best vintage stores were gathered, so you didn’t have to run through the whole city to find different items?
Well there actually is in Vancouver. It’s called Mintage Market.
Here different vintage stores have their own “room” and you can go through the building and visit lots of different second-hand shops with different selections!
7. Wildlife Thrift Store
If you are looking for something in particular go to Wildlife Thrift Store in Vancouver. Cause they have it all!
This thrift store has the best selection of everything from small decorations unique crystal glasses, cool lamps, and cute second-hand clothes all at very reasonable prices. Some of the profits are also donated to a charity so by supporting this thrift store you also give back to the community.
The small second-hand shops create a unique experience. It is definitely a must-go place for everyone who loves vintage clothes and second-hand items.
8. Hey Jude
This store is just stunning – and the same goes for the selection. everything here is handpicked and beautifully displayed.
Located in the heart of Gastown, the second-hand store invites in its costumers to get inspired and fall in love with all the incredible pieces hanging on the hangers. The focus is on natural fibers and everything is of high quality.
If you are one of those who enjoy great service this little piece of vintage heaven will definitely be something for you and everyone who decides to walk into this places will be greeted with a smile and a warm atmosphere – don’t miss this little vintage gem, cause you will regret it.
9. F as in Frank
Visiting F as in Frank vintage store in Vancouver is like stepping back in time. The inspiration comes from the ’90s and everything has this cool streetwear vibe.
On this second-hand shop, you will find the coolest t-shirts reworked vintage items and eye-catching accessories.
You can also find great vintage sportswear and cool hoodies in here, and the vibe and the style at this place will make you feel as if you’ve jumped right back into the ’90s, then take a look at all the fun gear the store also sells from that decade!
10. The Eastside Flea
You never know what hidden gems you will find in here, and visiting this place is kind of like going treasure hunting, and sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to find the real treasures.
But nonetheless, it is still really cozy to walk around and browse through all the cool stuff.
The place is especially great for retro fashion but you can also find a local artist here selling there own goods which are so nice! Be aware that you have to pay a couple of bucks to get in.
